Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on what's been happening in nursery.
As you know, we have been part of an Early Excellence Outdoor Project. We have introduced the children to one of the collections (Building and Construction) and this week, we'll be introducing another; Den Play and Camping. The children have responded incredibly well and even we have been so wonderfully surprised by how imaginative they are, as well as using high order skills such as collaborating, negotiating and reasoning.
Transition is going great, the older children are very excited about going into reception and in our group discussions talk about how excited they are to play with the new toys! Overall the children have done brilliantly this year - they're very independent and have made fantastic progress, we're all really pleased and we will certainly miss them! Luckily, they'll only be next door and they will still be accessing nursery's outdoor area so we will continue to see how they grow!
REMINDER: Final Transition visit for children moving up to F2 (reception) on Friday 11th July.
